PLAYAS DE ROSARITO, B.C. — Thursday, August 6, 2026. With the goal of strengthening the competitiveness of the local craft beer industry and positioning Playas de Rosarito as one of Baja California’s leading craft beer tourism destinations, the Consejo Consultivo de Desarrollo Económico de Playas de Rosarito (CCDER) will launch the Rosarito Craft Beer Development Program, a comprehensive specialized training initiative expected to benefit 150 entrepreneurs and industry professionals.

The project is led by CCDER with support from the Baja California Business Trust (FIDEM) and is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the capabilities of micro and small businesses, improve service quality and create new opportunities for economic development in the municipality.

The program will take place from August through December 2026 and will serve craft brewers, bar staff, employees of specialized establishments and entrepreneurs connected to the industry. Participants will take part in a training process designed to strengthen their technical, administrative and commercial skills.

A total of 16 specialized workshops and courses will be offered across four key areas:

  • Craft beer technical training
  • Tax and business formalization
  • Digital photography and video production for product promotion
  • Strategic sales focused on business growth

The initiative will also provide technical support to more than 10 local craft beer brands, helping strengthen their production processes, business management, marketing and market positioning.

“Through this initiative, CCDER seeks to establish craft beer as a distinctive tourism product for Playas de Rosarito, complementing the destination’s gastronomy, culture and visitor experiences while generating greater economic impact and strengthening the municipality’s productive identity,” said César Rivera González, President of CCDER.

One of the program’s key components will be preparation for the internationally recognized Cicerone® Certified Beer Server certification, considered a leading global standard for beer knowledge and service.
